Prague Ujezd Hotels
Ujezd is the area adjacent to Mala Strana and Kampa. Technically the Prague 5 district, even at it’s furthest point it’s only a 15 minute walk to get to Mala Strana or across the river to the Old Town. There are a couple of five star Hotels but the area is largely in the three and four star range so my favourite Prague Ujezd hotels are listed below.
5 Star Prague Ujezd Hotels – Hotel Riverside
If you can afford it then Hotel Riverside is one of the Prague Ujezd hotels you’d want to stay at. It’s on a busy road junction but, once inside you’d never notice. Large rooms, beautiful decor and professional service. You’ll find yourself walking a lot or else taking taxis as it’s not convenient for either metro or tram. Front facing rooms have New/Old Town river view. Square facing rooms also have a river view. Recommended for the sheer relaxing luxury of the place. Part of the Ma-Maison group.
4 Star – Red and Blue
Located in the centre of Ujezd opposite the Kinsky Park. Front facing rooms have the park view. Rear facing rooms called “Superior Design” have city views and are bigger. I like the red rooms but, not too keen on the blue. Five minute walk to the nearest tram stop. One stop to Andel or three stops to Malostranske Namesti. 35 minute walk to the Old Town Square. Ask the reception where David Cerny painted the tank pink or you can ask me if you take one of my Prague Walking Tours.
4 Star – Hotel Kinsky Garden
This is a Best Western Premier class hotel. 62 rooms single/double/triple in two categories standard/executive (executive rooms are bigger and have jacuzzi bath). Street facing rooms also have a view of the Kinsky park opposite. One of two Prague Ujezd hotels next to the park (the other is the Red and Blue) and a 5 minute walk down to the main road where the tram line is situated. From the closest stop it’s two stops in either direction to Andel or Mala Strana. Malostranske Namesti would be a 20-25 minute walk. The Old Town Square would be 30-35 minutes depending on the route.
4 Star – Hotel Augustus et Otto
Also known just as the Hotel Augustus it’s a family run place set in the heart of Ujezd one block over from the river road and I recommend it for people driving here. Malostranske Namesti would be a 20 minute walk. The Old Town Square would be 20-25 minutes depending on the route. The hotel offers 21 carpeted rooms mostly doubles and triples with one apartment. Some rooms have air conditioning including the attic rooms. It’s got good off-road parking for a reasonable charge and a pleasant first floor courtyard area. Wine buffs should consider this place as it has it’s own wine tasting area.
4 Star – Hunger Wall Residence
Some of the places I recommend are not just Prague Ujezd hotels but nice aparthotels as well. Hunger Wall Residence is located around the corner from the Ujezd tram stop in the road opposite the base of the Hunger Wall. It has 18 apartments in three configurations the smallest of which is the “Junior” at 45 square metres rising to the rooftop “Executive” (city views) at 90 square metres. Furnishing style is clean with lots of wood for a fresh look. Pretty good value for the size of the apartments. Two tram stops or a 20 minute walk to Malostranske Namesti (Mala Strana main square).
